A few words from our Managing Director, Daniel Hertz
On our 40th anniversary we would like to celebrate our team, our client relationships and our legacy of supporting traders, investors and developers.

Previously a family-owned business, now wholly owned by Close Brothers, we have been lending since 1983.
One thing that has not changed at CA, even after 40 years of business, is the personal approach that underlies all our work. We have a strong tradition of relationship lending, with repeat borrowers accounting for more than 70% of our business. This is a testament to our reliable, professional and friendly service.
The last few decades have been marked by a great deal of change for our business, particularly in 2008 when we were acquired by FTSE 250 UK merchant banking group Close Brothers, and in how the UK bridging market has matured.
We’re proud that we have always continued lending through the cycles, including the recessions of 1990 and 2008, and more recently during the COVID-19 pandemic and cost-of-living crisis.
Our customers value the experience and expertise we have in lending during economic downturns and understanding the challenges they may face.
We said goodbye to our old office at 100 George Street and moved to the 8th floor, 101 Wigmore Street, London. Our Wigmore Street office rooftop has stunning panoramic views of London, so it’s been fantastic to host alfresco events when the weather allows.
We’re customer-driven and create innovative solutions to our clients’ problems. We recently introduced a new product called CATerm, a new three-five year Medium Term Investment loan. It has already proved exceptionally popular with existing borrowers, contributing to a 25% rise in enquiries following a soft launch earlier this year.
None of this would be possible without the brilliant team we have built over the last 40 years. We hire a combination of experienced bankers and those with property funding specialist backgrounds. Whilst, also taking advantage of the Close Brothers Aspire programme and other graduate schemes to find young talent.
One thing our trusted team of experts all have in common is a customer-centric approach to their work.
The team have been a key part of our recent growth, and we’re proud of the success stories that have come from this.
